South Florida's music scene has grown up in the past few years. This movement has mostly taken place in the rock sector, much more than jazz or classical. Highlighted by bands such as, Mind Like Water, Things Forgotten, The DSC Project, and The Young and the Useless, along with the amount of people involved within those areas of music has grown tremendously. Not to say Jazz or Classical is dead (maybe for the youngsters)  - it is alive and well.

While George thinks the Rock scene has grown; the Jazz and Classical Scene is also growing by leaps and bounds.  Stix, plays the local area clubs and restaurants with a Jazz Trio call " EEPHUS " .  It features Don Bestor on Piano, Walter Abdul on upright Bass and Stix Nickson on Drums. This high energy trio is a must see for anyone into Jazz. Into Funk, Rock and Fun????  Check out "THE SHAKERS", Stix lays down the ultimate, Rock, Funk and Dance Groves.
